I realized I was being weirdly secretive about watching porn videos even though I knew they wouldn't mind. It wasn't that the content was weird; it was just the habit of keeping a "digital life" separate from my "real life." Once I stopped closing my browser tabs every time they walked in, the tension in the room actually dropped. Has anyone else felt that weird guilt even when you haven't actually done anything wrong?

I just noticed this thread while I was looking for the sub-forum on smart home setups. It’s quite a jump from lightbulbs to relationship philosophy, but that’s the beauty of a general-interest forum, I guess. I like that the moderators keep things so civil here; it makes it easy to read through these longer posts without feeling like you're going to see an argument. It’s definitely a different vibe than the tech support threads where everyone is constantly stressed.
